When I paint, I find myself in a space and time that brings me to tell a story. And my hope is to leave the collector the impression of being there with me.
Ever since I started the newfound career (after retirement) this latent talent and love of the Impasto style has led me to put on canvas or other supports what I enjoy, what I feel. My collections are created to explore the objects of my affection. Yet, when it comes down to facing the canvas, I prefer to see what I am about to put on it as a truly original piece of art (a one-off). Each is a final product that is unique regardless of its place in the collection.
My muse has been Mount Royal, Montréal, Québec. It is there in all seasons and draws me into putting on canvas what I feel; whether that emotion is expressed in the form of a landscape abstract, or impressionist/expressionist representation of a landscape piece. I’ve never wanted to be identified as this or that. I worked in government services, and as an entrepreneur. Change has been a constant in my life, and exploration as human behaviour has been my guiding light.

I have had three juried selections at the Stewart Hall Artotheque exhibit in Pointe-Claire, Québec.
They were in 2017, 2018 and 2021
