Creating a sense of wonder

Painting found me in 2009, just before my retirement in 2012, and what began as a pastime quickly became a way of life. Landscapes—mountains, islands, and coastlines from my travels, called to me, each carrying its own memory and emotion. Closer to home, Mount Royal in Montreal became a constant source of inspiration, its changing moods reminding me that beauty is never still.

When I paint, I enter a quiet, timeless space where stories unfold through colour, texture, and light. Each piece reflects not only my interpretation of a place but also a glimpse of selfhood—Ipseity—inviting you to explore both the landscape and the personal journey within it. My earlier work in mental health and entrepreneurship taught me to value change and curiosity, qualities that continue to shape my art as I seek to capture and share a sense of wonder.
